Sterling silver, 14k yellow gold, black gahnospinel, blue topaz, blue sapphire.
Custom made Dermis ring with double textured overlapping silver band, tube set topaz and sapphire faceted stones, bezel set black Gahnospinel cushion cut. 14 karat yellow gold surrounds each stone setting to nicely contrast with the oxidized silver textured layer. The lower band is polished to a bright silver.

BLACK GAHNOSPINEL 14MM - HARDNESS 8
Facets on the surface of this cushion black gahnospinel catch the light, giving the cabochon a distinctive look. This stone is perfectly suited for gothic and vintage-style designs, and pairs well with white metal settings. The hardness makes it suitable for any type of jewelry, even those that see the most wear and tear.
Though both are variations of spinel, gahnospinel is richer in zinc than spinel and yet not quite as rich as gahnite. Gahnospinel is a transitional stone and embodies certain properties of each gahnite and spinel.
