'925: A STERLING ANNIVERSARY Tonight! 25 Year ACAD Alumni Show Featuring Wearable Art and Jewelry + Metal Alumni from the Past 25 years of Alberta College of Art + Design's creative history, Developed and Curated by the Lovely Dee Fontans ‘Chasing the Silver Line’ Exhibition + ‘925 Launch Party* Thursday, February 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. Room 371, Alberta College of Art + Design Here's the order of events at ACAD for 925: A Sterling Anniversary, which celebrates the Jewelry + Metals program.
It's open to the public, come check it out! Enamel Class - a 9 week class at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre. 6 students max. Instructor: Melody Armstrong Enameling is the art of fusing glass onto metal to create colorful and imaginative designs. Students will explore different enameling applications using copper and fine silver; and incorporate these new techniques into jewellery objects. Focus will be on designing and completing at least two major projects using the techniques learned in this class. JEWELLERY DESIGN In this class students will be encouraged to create their own unique jewellery designs. By participating in various exercises, students will arrive at designs they can then create in class. Prerequisite: Jewellery 1 and Jewellery 2 At the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre.
