Melody Armstrong graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with Distinction, majoring in Jewellery and Metal in 1999. Working with traditional and non- traditional metals, enamels and stones, Melody’s style is best described as Industrial-Organic. Her design philosophy of organic infused with industrial is demonstrated through a mix of natural shapes and geometric structures, with great attention to detail and quality of workmanship. Melody Armstrong maintains a professional studio and served as Resident Artist and Jewellery Instructor at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre, in Regina, Saskatchewan from 2007 to 2023.
Melody Armstrong’s recent accomplishments include exhibiting a solo jewellery exhibition “Contemporary Jewellery by Melody Armstrong” at the Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery, being selected as part of the "Dimensions" touring exhibition, receiving an Independent Artists Grant from the Saskatchewan Arts Board, and having articles published in Art Jewelry Magazine. |
