Since 2010 I have instructed many enamelling classes at the Neil Balkwill Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Basse Taille is by far my favourite technique, First I etch the copper using a salt water solution and a battery and then I cut the circles and dap them concave, then proceed to enamel each one with a complete coating of transparent chartreuse. No copper is exposed, It is the reflection of light that gives it the dimensional quality from the deep etch.
