Conflict Free Labradorite - cutting center: India.
This Labradorite has some inclusions on the bottom edge of the stone as shown in the photos.
Labradorite displays a unique reflection of light that is known as "labradorescence".
This effect is due to geometric planes within the mineral structure as a submicroscopic level that are almost always oriented in one direction, but in such a way that they cannot be expressed by simple indices.
Because of this, light reflecting from these planes produces an optical effect uniquely characteristic of this stone.
Translucent to opaque labradorite that shows blue, green, and golden Schiller colors is widely cut by hobbyists.
Such rocks are very attractive when polished because the blue sheen of the labradorite grains flashes out at many different angles.
Due to these inclusions, they may show up on the surface of faceted stones.
Order today and you receive this necklace in the photos - it will arrive in an attractive gift box with silver lame’ pouch and a complimentary polishing cloth.

*Oxidation permanence varies.
Rings will change in appearance, especially with daily wear. Cuffs not as much and bracelets less so. Necklaces and Earrings seem to retain their patina for years.
Patina is a natural process that happens to objects with long expose to open air and a discolouration appears due to oxidation.
I use a chemical application of Liver of Sulphur as a surface treatment. The silver is instantaneously oxidized and achieves a blackened colour. Each piece is oxidized by hand and slight variations in finishes should be expected.
This treatment will wear off in the high areas over time causing a patina that is unique to the piece. For best results, remove jewellery when showering and swimming or when applying lotions and perfumes.
Although I include a complimentary polishing cloth with each order, do not use the polishing cloth or a silver cleaner on oxidized areas.
When not in use, store your jewellery in an airtight baggie.
